State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution "Konotop Higher Vocational School" was founded in 1920 for training workers as a school at the Konotop Railway Workshops.
From the moment of its foundation to the present days the educational establishment has been reorganized and improved in direct proportion to the development of industry: new buildings were built, new professions appeared; the school held systematic training and retraining of workers for the state.
